Governor Huntsman has called the legislature into a Special Session, to be held Wednesday, November 9 at 5:00 p.m. The key item of business, of course, is to approve or reject the newly-minted Legacy Parkway Settlement Agreement.

FYI:

Next Wednesday's Special Session will revolve around two pieces of legislation. The first is the Resolution Approving the Legacy Parkway Settlement Agreement, which will end the ongoing litigation, prevent future claims by the plaintiffs, and allow for the construction of the parkway. This resolution will be considered first in the House of Representatives. A second piece of legislation, originating in the Senate, will be a bill giving UDOT the authority to restrict certain trucks from the new highway until the year 2020.
