Legacy - full speed ahead
Anyone have trouble driving north from Salt Lake City last night? When major snowstorms hit in the winter of 2008 and 2009, we'll all have an additional route north. The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver dissolved the injunction on Legacy. (See our previous Legacy blogs.) UDOT is now free to begin construction.

And by "full speed ahead", of course, you mean 55 mph.
Fifty-five beats zero, doesn't it? Enjoy the wetland vistas - at a safe speed. Besides, if the speed limit on Legacy is enforced as currently on I-15 and 80, you won't have anything to worry about. Indeed, my prediction is you will be able to drive on Legacy just like all the maniacs currently drive on I-15 and 80!
Actually, my truck starts shaking at 63, so 55 is about right. On ice, though, going downhill, I can get up around 80.
Sounds like D-back is a Republican in need of a tax break; then he could get himself a Hummer.
Arf!
Under the conditions of the court settlement, I wouldn’t necessarily say that “UDOT is now free to begin construction”
Grrrrrrrr.
