Apples & Oranges

The obvious sound bite: "They funded a parking structure but couldn't give pocket change to the poor."

Problem is, both sides of the aisle agree, that comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges. Good for campaign propaganda, perhaps, but that's about it.

It is really more like the poor got the rotten apple core, and the hubris laden legislature got the big fresh and juicy Florida Orange. Yep, Apples and Oranges alright.

You can trivialize it and intellectualize it all you want, it is still what it is, and it still stinks.
