Partisan: 1. A fervent, sometimes militant supporter or proponent of a cause, faction, person, party or idea.

Cynic: 1. A person who believes all people are motivated by selfishness. 2. A person whose outlook is scornfully and often habitually negative.

I appreciate accurate geneology as much as the next guy, but if you're looking for comments that deal with the SUBSTANCE of the argument, Rep. Urquhart's post has some good ones.
