Any analysis of how this affects taxpayers, as compared to current tax rates (and last year's rates before any of this was changed), based on income? The SL Trib story says those who earn a lot, have a lot of kids, have a big mortgage, or pay a lot to charity may actually see a tax hike due to how the new credits phase out. Seems to me like a lot of families will fit that description. I'd like to see some analysis of the effects of this tax package on families in different situations, so I can better understand who exactly will get a cut and who will get a tax hike.
Under the new system about 91 percent of those who pay income tax will see a decrease. Some who make around $125K, have a lot of kids, and are working the system with lots of deductions will see a slight increase.
