Speaking of junkets and mineral resources, some of us escaped our hovels this week to attend the Guv's Energy Summit. Excellent event. Lots of salient information.
One interesting factoid: if oil shale technology realistically gets off the ground (and it's close), Utah could become epicenter of the world's future energy supply. 72% of the planet's oil shales resources reside in the Green River Basin in UT, WY, and CO.
