Word from the Grassroots
You know them as Senator Jenkins, Senator Dayton, and Senator Stephenson. The world will soon know them as Grassroots Honorees, for their efforts in promoting "limited government, free enterprise and family issues." More info at UtahGrassroots.org.

You left out some of their passions. According to their website, "Grass Roots is commited to the Principles of Limited Government, the State and U.S. Consitutions [sic], Representive [sic] Government, Participatory Democracy, a Free Market Economy, Separation of Powers, and Family." Quite the busy bees there. I would have read more, but as soon as I saw that Rep. Tilton and Sen. Dayton had scored #1, I felt I had all the information I needed about them.
I agree. Any organization that rewards polarizing politicians such as Rep. Tilton and Sen. Dayton indicates a fairly specific agenda.
The GrassRoots web site says they don't have a special-interest agenda. This may be true, but they clearly have a specific, ideological agenda. That's great! But I must say their outlook on life, society, the constitution, and the role of government is very, very different from mine.
What concerns me about GrassRoots and other similar groups is their notion of truth ownership. God is not a fanatic. He created diversity. A healthy dose of conservatives and liberals will be found in the Celestial Kingdom :-)
Thanks...Craig.
