Clarity
Today the Supreme Court tied the fate of the second voucher bill (HB 174) to the first (HB 148). There will be no change in the ballot language. November's vote will decide the future of the entire voucher program. This at least, provides the clarity we all needed. Now it's up to the voters. Best quote: "We fear a small forest somewhere has given its all for this case." (Justice Wilkins, commenting on all the analysis supplied to the court by the various parties.)
Here is the Summary of Decision (PDF). Look for a full, official opinion later.

Looks like Bramble will now have to run for a spot on the Utah Supreme Court. He must be hoppin' mad that they ruled against him! The tyranny of the judiciary lives!
"Senoj" - Your viewpoint has a place here. You can even post bad information and we’ll do our best to correct it if we have time. But you have to ditch the venom.
Care to rephrase?
P.S. Some of your questions were answered here.
Too bad that it took a lawsuit to provide the clarity that the Legislature should have provided in the first place. The citizens of this great state deserve better than having the Legislature pass two duplicitous voucher bills, that created the lack of clarity. The Legislature, as a whole, appeared to be confused once these two voucher bills were passed because so many individual legislators had such differing opinions about the process. At worst, it appears that some legislators were less than forthright to other legislators about the purpose of the 2nd voucher bill. Again the PEOPLE deserve better. Thank goodness the Courts had the common sense, and displayed more gumption than the Legislature, in untangling this mess.
This has already been discussed ad naseum. Blaming the legislature is a great American pastime with a proud history, but if you want a more substantive understanding, start here.
