Thanks Emily. It's an eye-opener, isn't it? I'm a little skeptical of the projections at the end, but who knows? It's worth some thought.

I like to think about the Iroquois Confederacy's maxim that every policy decision should be weighed considering it's impact on the seventh generation. I don't know how we can see that far ahead anymore, but we can still act with vision. Thanks for posting.

I wonder if a better title would be "Shift is Happening." We can't forget that this shift has been happening for the past 5, 10, 15 years, and will continue to happen. So it's important to get in and keep up with everyone else learning how to shift.

Just to make a couple of comments.

It says 'The 25% of the population in China with the highest IQ's are more than the total population of North America.

However, This Wiki article says that North America has a population of 514.6 Million and just before the film said that 1 in a million in China was 1 of 1300. So that implies that China has a population of 1.3 billion (which agrees with an internet search) of which 25% would be 325 Million. But that is less than the population of North America.

Same problem goes with comparison to India.

Then the 'Translation for teachers: They have more honors kids than we have kids. Assuming that Honors (here) == Honors (there) and that they have 'Honors' programs.

China will soon become the number one English-speaking nation in the world.

What does that even mean? Number one in what? Not a very good sentence. I assume they mean 'nation with the most english speaking people'. While that may be true, the question has to be asked how fluent are they?

If you took every job single Job in the US and shipped it to China it would still have a labor surplus.

From the CIA World Factbook on China, China has a workforce of 798 Million. From the Labor department the US economey has 145.9 Million jobs. That would mean that china would have to have a unemployment rate of 18.2%. The above referenced CIA link says it has a 4.2% urban unemployment rate and a substantial rural unemployment rate. Another internet reference says China's unemployment rate is about 10%.

These are just numbers from the internet so you can believe what you want but there are a lot of things in that show with no references that seem incorrect, I wonder if there is anything that is correct.

But it does at least make you think.

Points well taken - thanks for the research, Stacey.

The questions I don't have time to answer: How many of the stats in this video are accurate? If the stats are off, are the projections based on those stats still generally true? Or should they be thrown out altogether? And lastly, where can I buy a CD of that music?

Stacey is a mood killer. :-)

I think it is thought provoking... it would be interesting to go through and look at all the claims and find out where reality is...

Having said that, it is still thought provoking.

Shift is happening. Exactly why it is a GOOD idea we're forming working relationships with China.
