Red Sox Victory

By Laura Barlow
Senate Staff

The Boston Red Sox have won the World Series for the second time in four years. They swept the Colorado Rockies in four games. Unfortunately, it did not seem as though the Rockies came out to play. The young Red Sox played hard until the end. Although I was hoping the Rockies would pull off a victory, I must tip my hat to those Red Sox who played great baseball during the Series.

Five months of an off-season then the Oakland A's can try again next year!

Ok, caveat - I hate baseball. Too many player's strikes ruined the game for me. (hockey has one chance left). That said:

I was at the Colorado Rockies first game ever. It was both fantastic and the most boring thing ever all in one location.

I was hoping that they could at least pull a couple of wins out of their hat, but, I was happy for them that they made it.

To JM Bell-same.

To Julie-Go A's!

To anonymous- I was rooting for the Indians as well, they haven't been in the running for a few years. I would have liked to see the diversity. But as you said, there is always next year! (for your team and mine)

Yeah, what was that about?!? The Rockies looked like deer in the headlights - they couldn't seem to rally. I'm happy for the Red Sox, but sweeps are kind of boring....
