If you do it right it looks like this . . .

A short text message with no substance will surely be a wonderful way for Utahns to stay informed on complex legislative issues!

No worries, my sarcastic friend, we've got you covered. Senate Mobile is just the latest on a long list of tools to help citizens understand and re-engage with the government for which they are responsible. You can keep yourself informed to your heart's delight. The legislature provides . . .

* Text and status of every bill posted on line,

* Podcasts of every committee meeting, archived in perpetuity,

* Audio and live streaming video of every floor debate,

* Blogs from each of the four legislative caucuses, for added perspective,

* Good newspapers, TVs and radio stations who cover the session,

* A 1-800 line, E-mail, award-winning web site, blue notes, and even scheduled time for personal conversation.

* Etcetera (I'm sure I forgot something),

* And, now, an experiment in Senate Mobile - for short daily updates and breaking news.

So join in. That cynicism is is bad for your heart.
