Senate Morning Workout: Tuesday

  1. The Governor uses the V word. And the inevitable Warchol.
  2. Utah Policy Daily
  3. Senator Walker's SB 20 debated in the Senate. Here too.
  4. Year-round school? KSL thinks its a good idea.
  5. Energy Face-off. KCPW reports.
  6. Senator Madsen's SB37 grinds through the process.
More later, maybe. Time flies like an arrow.

The V word.

I wonder what other bills, if any, will get the V stamp this session?

Hard to believe that this little headline didn't make it onto your radar:

"Buttars' racial slur leads to rebuke, apology"

Believe me, it's on the radar. That happened today toward the end of afternoon floor time. Here's a link.

Senator Buttars apologized for his mistake, so I think it should just be left at that.

It does take time for the Senators to remember that everything is instantly recorded now. That's not how it used to be, and it will take some time for them to fully adjust and always be mindful of the audio and video devices.
