Welcome to The Senate Site
Neighborhood Caucus Tonight
Found this on the Amicus: [Update:] I disappeared the TV window because it kept auto-playing everytime we opened the site. You can still find it on the Utah Amicus.

The caucuses tonight were ridiculous. They were a popularity contest. No one discussed the issues. No one would state where they stood on the issues, they simply said that they would weigh the issues and vote their conscience. Why do we hold them so early? The people running have not even stated their platforms. It makes no sense to send a random person to a convention, and hope that by drawing straws they would vote the way we want. Stupid. As Republicans we need to put them off until a later date, and send people that we elect based on the issues and the candidates, not how many of each others friends showed up.
That might have been true in your caucus meetings tonight, but it wasn't the case at Lindon 04 precinct. We had better turn out than I ever remember, plenty of participation, good discussion, lots of questions of delegates, and good answers. I think people went away with a good understanding of what the delegates who were elected believed. I only wish the turn out had been even better.
If your meeting was no good, hopefully you elected a chair who can run a better meeting next time.
