As part of the Capitol renovation, we now have blue curtains in the Senate Chamber. Some say they class the place up and are very appropriate for the state Capitol. One influential senator who shall remain nameless feels they do NOT add class. In fact, they make the chamber look like a house of ill-repute.
so, just wondering - does the "nameless" Senator have a lot of experience with that? I know I have never actually seen a house of ill repute. :) Just teasing, Mr Senator. I think the curtains are fine. The Chamber looks a little naked without them.
Curtains add a "theatre" feel to the place. Like you're about to hear some beautiful aria, rather then watch a floor vote. That's not necessarily a bad thing.
Well, to some the legislature is a house of ill repute, so they should be fine either way. However, I hear they are using green drapes in Singapore, so perhaps we should fund a study to see whether a change is in order.

So glad that this is the issue Senator Stephenson is concerning himself with.
Wait, I could have sworn there was a budget issue or something - so glad that has been taken care of.

Well, with that Energy Solutions buyout of our legislature, I'd say "a house of ill-repute" is kind of fitting.
So I voted for the drapes.
