Senate Journal: February 20th, 2015
Day 24 and Friday. Yipe!
Today on the hill: School groups + bills + lots of good discussion + committee meetings = today. Floor time began with a prayer given by Logan Lamborn, Student Body President of Logan High School. Our pledge was led by Connor Lewis and the National Board Certified Teachers were recognized by Senator Osmond. President Niederhauser best described today’s floor time in our media briefing when he said, “We spent two hours going through a very lengthy reading calendar, got through most of those bills, with a few of them circled. We’ll be coming back Monday, starting fresh on a second reading calendar.”
During our media briefing today: We talked about the the gas tax and the medical marijuana bill proposed by Senator Madsen. We also had two questions texted in from the public. Thanks for watching, team #UtahCitizens! If you want to watch the whole discussion, click here.
